Parenting Tips for Seoul Tram

  • This is an experience where you ride a tram along historic tram routes and enjoy sightseeing in Seoul.
  • A professional guide explains the history and culture in person, and lively music is played through the onboard speakers.
  • Because it runs at a pace that is neither too fast nor too slow for 1 hour 30 minutes, it is also great for visiting with children.
  • In winter, a winter snack tour is offered. For 2 hours, you can enjoy steamed buns, hot chocolate, coffee, and warm tea sold at a Bukchon hanok cafe.
  • If you are over 100 cm and wear protective gear, you can join the tour.
  • Children under 140 cm cannot sit in the pedal seats and may ride only in the guardian seats.
  • In winter, each person also receives a hand warmer, but since your hands can get very cold, please be sure to bring gloves are essential.
  • At certain points, power is transferred through the bicycle pedals, but pedaling happens only about twice, so it is fine even if a child cannot reach the pedals.
  • On weekdays and weekends, the routes are different, so please check the Naver reservation page or the attached photos.
  • Each seat has a cup holder, so we recommend bringing a drink on board.
  • Since boarding and drop-off take place in front of HiKR Ground, we recommend visiting HiKR Ground before or after your ride.
  • Because it is open on all sides, it can be cold, so it is a good idea to bring gloves and a hat.
  • You may also use any remaining seats after reserving on site, but we recommend making a reservation in advance.
  • There are 13 seats in total: 8 pedal seats, 2 regular seats without pedals, and 3 guardian seats for preschool children and elderly passengers. The guardian seats can only be reserved by inquiring via Naver TalkTalk.
  • Light bags can be placed in the box inside the tram, but large luggage should be stored at the Seoul Tram office inside HiKR Ground before boarding.

Seoul Jeoncha

Seoul Jeoncha is a unique experience where you ride a streetcar-shaped vehicle and slowly tour downtown Seoul. You can enjoy the breeze with your kids as you move along, and with commentary from a professional guide plus music, it feels less like simple transportation and more like a little trip.

Great points to enjoy with your kids

  • It is a course that is easy to enjoy without too much strain for about 1 hour 30 minutes.
  • There are a few sections where you pedal along the way, but not many, so it is not too burdensome to ride with your kids.
  • Children 100 cm and taller can ride while wearing safety gear.
  • Children under 140 cm can only sit in the guardian seat, not in the pedal seat.

Things to know before your visit

  • Reservations are available, and you can check the boarding schedule through Naver Reservation.
  • It operates with a maximum of 13 people and a minimum of 5 people.
  • The vehicle is open on all sides, so depending on the season, it is a good idea to bring gloves, a hat, and a warm outer layer.
  • There is a drink holder, so bringing a simple drink can be convenient.
  • Small belongings can be placed in a box inside the vehicle, and large luggage can be stored at the office.

Kids convenience facilities

  • Nursing room, diaper changing table, stroller rental, high chair, and parking are not provided.
  • Reservations are available.

"If you want to show your kids a different side of downtown Seoul, hop aboard Seoul Jeoncha and make some special memories together."
