"Nangman Golmok" in Hyoja-dong, Chuncheon, Gangwon-do, is a special place where residents and artists worked together to transform an old village alley into a space filled with art and culture. With "filial piety-themed paintings and folk art" that reflect the origins of Hyoja Village, it is a great place to chat and share stories with your child.

  Hyoja-dong is a neighborhood whose name comes from the legend of Ban Hui-eon, who was known for filial devotion during the Joseon Dynasty. Murals and art installations throughout the alley honor his story, so you can enjoy a walk while telling your kids old stories.

  The entire alley is covered with colorful murals. Since people actually live here, visitors should look around quietly. There are plenty of things kids will enjoy, including Cloud Bread characters and charming cat sculptures, making it a lovely spot for photos.

  It is a good distance for a walk of about 30 minutes to 1 hour. The cozy and comforting atmosphere of the old neighborhood makes it a popular family outing spot. Across from it, you'll also find Yaksacheon Waterfront Park and a playground, which are nice to visit together.

  This three-story children's library in the middle of the mural alley lets kids take off their shoes and read freely in a home-like, comfortable setting.
