What is Bidulginang Falls?

Located at 415-2 Daehoesan-ri, Yeongbuk-myeon, Pocheon-si, Gyeonggi-do, Bidulginang Falls is a beautiful waterfall set inside a basalt gorge with columnar joints stretching along the Hantan River. Formed by lava eruptions about 270,000 years ago, this unique landscape is known for water that falls through Korea's only inland basalt gorge and glows with a mysterious emerald color depending on the season and the light.

The waterfall's name comes from the time when hundreds of white pigeons built nests and lived in the cave here. The Sino-Korean word "nang" means nest, which gave this place the beautiful name Bidulginang.
