Parenting Tips for Byeol Beach Water Park
- Operated by “Little Prince's Tree Star Pension”, it is the only water park in Gapyeong. If you stay at the pension, you get free two-day access to the water park with a dedicated pavilion. It may not be large, but it's a packed water park featuring “Wave Pool, Straight Slide, Lazy River, Children's Playground Pool, Warm Water Pool, Tube Slide, and Tunnel Slide.” Since operation times vary by facility, and the place isn't crowded, you can immediately ride the slides, making it a pleasant experience. The “Straight Slide and Tunnel Slide” require a height of “120cm or more,” and the “Tube Slide” can be ridden with an “accompanying guardian.” Pavilions and bungalows are available for rent, however, as the park prohibits bringing in food except for baby food, senior meals, seedless fruits, and drinks, and also prohibits cooking, renting a bungalow may not be necessary. Recommended for groups of 4 or fewer to rent “sunbeds or pavilions.” Inside, there is a “restaurant” selling tonkatsu, udon, ramen, etc., but the prices are high and the taste is average. In the “Children's Playground Pool,” each slide has “cushions” where they impact, for safety and peace of mind. Personally, I felt the “water was clean,” and Naver reviews also state that many children with “sensitive skin” have no issues after visiting the pool, which is “satisfactory.” You should bring your own “shampoo and body wash,” while a “towel” is provided free once, additional towels cost a rental fee of 1,000 won each. The showers have hot water, and the hairdryer requires putting in a 500 won coin; please bring 2-3 500 won coins. It is also nice to have a “personal life vest” if you have one. “Wave Pool” can be stronger than expected, so we recommend “pre-school children enter with guardians.” It's recommended to make a “prior reservation via Naver” before coming, as admission numbers are controlled, and there are reviews stating that during peak season, on-site ticketing wasn't available.
