Chuncheon Makguksu Experience Museum is a hands-on space themed around makguksu, one of Chuncheon's signature foods. More than just an exhibition, it is a special place where kids and families can learn about the history and culture of Chuncheon makguksu, make it themselves, and taste it too.

Main features and facilities

1. An exhibition hall where the history and culture of makguksu come alive

   • On the first floor, you will find immersive exhibits about the origins, traditions, benefits, and various buckwheat dishes related to makguksu and buckwheat.
   • You can also see traditional tools once used by earlier generations, such as foot-operated mortars and millstones, helping kids easily understand old cooking methods and culture.
   • There is also a program with explanations from a cultural guide, offering a meaningful learning experience for families.

2. A makguksu experience where you make it and eat it yourself

   • On the second floor experience hall, the makguksu-making experience is available for groups of 2 people or more.
   • With guidance from an instructor, you can start from kneading the dough and use a traditional noodle press to make the noodles yourself.
   • After the noodles are finished, you can mix them with various seasonings and vegetables and enjoy the taste of the makguksu you made.
   • For children, milder options such as soy sauce seasoning and seaweed flakes are also provided, so kids who cannot handle spicy food can join comfortably.

3. Various family-friendly amenities

   • There are outdoor spaces such as pavilions and photo zones, along with a variety of resting areas for families to enjoy.
