What kind of place is the Fox Ecology Observation Center?
Located at 33 Sobaek-ro 2481beon-gil, Sunheung-myeon, Yeongju-si, the Fox Ecology Observation Center is the only hands-on learning space in Korea established to restore the native red fox, a Class 1 endangered wild animal. Since opening in 2016, it has mainly protected foxes that were injured in accidents or suffering from illness, helped them recover, and returned them to the wild. The center is operated in cooperation with the Korea National Park Research Institute Central Conservation Center, and fox restoration projects are currently being actively carried out around the Sobaeksan area.
