What makes Ttangkkeut Songho Beach special

• Ttangkkeut Songho Beach is one of Haenam's most representative beaches, located at 1827 Ttangkkeuthaean-ro, Songji-myeon, Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do.
• True to the name "Songho," about 600 pine trees that are around 100 to 200 years old stretch densely behind the sandy beach, creating cool shade from the pine forest.
• The beach is wide, with a sandy stretch about 2 km long and 200 m wide. The sand is fine and the water is shallow, making it a great place for young children and families to enjoy the water safely.
• The seawater is clear and calm, creating a peaceful atmosphere like a lake, and you can also enjoy light mudflat experiences such as finding sea snails and turban shells.

Things to enjoy for kids and families

• During the beach season, showers, parasol rentals, and life jacket rentals are all free.
• During the summer peak season, an ocean exploration program is offered for children in grade 4 and above of elementary school.
• Various festivals and hands-on events are held at Songho Beach, giving family visitors special memories. You can enjoy performances, fireworks shows, sand sculpture displays, and activity programs.
• There is a coastal walking trail and the Ttangkkeut Auto Camping Site, so you can enjoy camping and seaside activities together.
• The pine grove is designated as Jeollanam-do Monument No. 142, and it offers an excellent setting for picnics or camping under the forest shade.
• Sea fishing and nearby walking trails, including the Ttangkkeut-gil trail connected to Ttangkkeut Tower, are also available so you can spend time surrounded by nature.

Facilities and transportation

• A variety of lodging and convenience facilities are available, including an auto camping site, campground, and caravans.
• There is a large public parking lot, which makes driving convenient, but since it takes about 5 minutes to walk to the beach, many visitors prefer roadside parking.
• From Haenam Public Bus Terminal, you can take a bus bound for Songho-ri Ttangkkeut Village, so it is also easy to reach by public transportation.
• There is one convenience store at the far end of the beach, with small shops along the road, and a swing and Songho Beach photo zone are located in front of the beach.

• Operating hours are 9 AM to 7 PM, Monday through Sunday.
• In summer, you can enjoy swimming and festivals, while in winter, you can appreciate the quiet and scenic coastal views.
