What is Hanyangdoseong Museum?

Located on Floors 1-3 of the Seoul Design Support Center, 283 Yulgok-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul, Hanyangdoseong Museum is a cultural and historical space where you can explore everything about Hanyangdoseong, the Seoul city wall with 600 years of history. From the Joseon Dynasty to the present day, the museum helps families easily and enjoyably experience the changes in Hanyangdoseong and the development of Seoul.

  • The museum has 3 floors.
  • It includes a permanent exhibition hall, special exhibition hall, archive room, and learning room.
  • On the 1st floor, you will find a Hanyangdoseong media art space with a large multivision display, a miniature model of Hanyangdoseong, and digital interactive exhibits, giving your kids a chance to see, touch, and connect with history firsthand.
  • On the 2nd floor, there is a special exhibition hall with changing themes, a learning room for children, families, and school groups, and a Hanyangdoseong archive room.
  • The permanent exhibition hall on the 3rd floor vividly presents the story of how Hanyangdoseong was built, life in a Joseon-era city, the management of the city gates, and the damage and restoration the wall went through in modern times.

  • Please take care while viewing the exhibits to help protect them.
