What is Pohang Marine Skywalk?

Pohang Marine Skywalk is the longest marine boardwalk in Korea, built over the sea at 463 meters in length. As you walk above the blue waters of Yeongil Bay on sections with transparent glass flooring, you can enjoy the special feeling of floating over the sea at one of Pohang's signature attractions.

Main features

• With a total length of 463 meters and an average height of 7 meters, it is the longest and most impressive marine skywalk in the country.
• Parts of the floor are made of special tempered glass, so you can look straight down at the rolling sea and the scenery beneath the water.
• At the center of the skywalk, there is a natural seawater pool with a depth of 1.2 meters, which can also be used as a swimming pool in summer.
• At night, colorful LED lighting creates a magical night view.
• The end of the structure connects to the Pohang coastal trail, so you can continue your walk from there.

    • Weekdays: 10:00 to 20:00
    • Weekends: 10:00 to 21:00
  • Winter season, December to February
    • Weekdays: 10:00 to 17:00
    • Weekends: 10:00 to 18:00
  • Entry may be restricted depending on weather conditions.
• Admission: Free
• Amenities: Fully equipped with a management office, restrooms, and an elevator for visitors with disabilities. Parking is spacious and convenient.

Visit tips

• The railing side can be risky, so please keep a close eye on your kids.
• There is not much shade during the middle of the day, so a late afternoon visit is recommended in hot weather.
• Many visitors also pair this trip with a visit to Space Walk in Hwanho Park nearby.
• Since it is close to the sea, it can feel chilly, so bring a light outer layer.
• With the boardwalk and many nearby scenic viewpoints, it is also a good spot for a trekking course.
• Yeongildae is nearby as well, so it is worth visiting together.
