What is Jukdo Sanghwawon?

Located in Nampo-myeon, Boryeong-si, Chungcheongnam-do, between Daecheon Beach and Muchangpo Beach, Jukdo Sanghwawon is a special retreat where the entire island has been designed as a traditional Korean garden. True to its name, which means "to value harmony," it preserves the island's natural beauty as much as possible and offers a space where nature and tradition come together.

• The entire island is one large garden
  Jukdo is a cozy island of about 0.06 square kilometers, and the whole island is filled with walking paths in harmony with nature, gardens, a hanok village, and art pieces.

• The world's longest 2 km roofed corridor
  This is the signature feature of the island: a covered corridor path that lets you comfortably walk a full loop around the island, about 2 km, without worrying about rain, wind, or strong sunlight.
  As you walk along the corridor, you'll get sweeping views of pine forests, bamboo groves, and the sea all at once.

• Various gardens and resting spots
  Around the island, you'll find unique spaces such as a beach garden, beach reading room, sunset garden, gallery, cave wine cafe, hanok village, and villa complex.

• Open season: Every year from April to November, open only on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays
• Hours: 09:00-18:00, last ticket sales at 17:00
• Suggested visit length: About 1 hour to 1 hour 30 minutes
• Admission: Adults 7,000 won, discounted admission 5,000 won for elementary school age and older, free for preschool children
• Visitor services: There are resting areas along the way, and coffee, roasted barley tea, and rice cakes are provided once per person, making it a nice place for kids to take a break
• Parking: Large dedicated parking areas are available near the entrance and around the island, with roadside parking and safety staff on site
