Living stories of Goguryeo at Achasan

Achasan Goguryeo History and Culture Promotion Hall is located at the entrance to Achasan in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, next to the Ecology Resource Center. It was created to share the historical value of Achasan, where the largest number of Goguryeo relics and historic sites in the southern part of Korea have been discovered. The building is not large, but it is filled with well-curated exhibits and hands-on experiences that are just right for visiting with your child.

Main exhibits and hands-on programs

• Through the "History and Culture Class," you can hear explanations about relics and historic sites excavated from Achasan and try virtual fittings of Three Kingdoms period clothing. Reservations can be made through "Seoul Public Service Reservation."
• A variety of actual relics excavated from the Achasan area, including earthenware and roof tiles, as well as photos of historic sites, are on display, helping you and your child vividly experience the culture and daily life of Goguryeo during the Three Kingdoms period.
• The walls feature comic-style stories about the history of Achasan, making it easy and fun for children to understand Goguryeo history.
• Videos related to Achasan and Goguryeo are shown inside the exhibition hall, so both children and families can learn history in an easy-to-understand way.
• Through the "Stamp Tour" course, you can collect stamps and even send a postcard yourself.
• You can take commemorative photos at the "life-size Three Kingdoms period costume standee" at the entrance.
• After the activities, children receive a Goguryeo three-legged crow pattern decal, and they can also write in the "guestbook."

• Additional programs: Gwangjin-gu also runs history and culture tours with professional guides, as well as a "History and Culture Class" where you can experience relics firsthand.
