History and Meaning of Sigyeongjeong

• Sigyeongjeong is a traditional pavilion from the Joseon Dynasty located on Yeongsangang-ro, Mongtan-myeon, Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do.
• It was built around 1630 by the mid-Joseon scholar and writer Hanho Im Yeon (1589-1648) as a place to study and teach younger scholars. In later generations, it was also used as a space where writers and intellectuals from the Naju Im family gathered and exchanged ideas.
