What is Children's and Youth Korean Studies Library?

• Children's and Youth Korean Studies Library is the first library in Korea dedicated to Korean studies for children and teens, covering all fields of Korean heritage such as history, culture, and philosophy.
• It is located on the 5th floor of Waryong Cultural Center, 26 Myeongnyun-gil, Jongno-gu.
• In this space where tradition meets modern life, children can naturally learn about the spirit and identity of the Korean people and build a healthy understanding of history through a wide range of resources and programs.

Main features and facilities

• There are books for all age groups from infants to adults, a dedicated children's area, and a general reading room for teens and adults for individual study and reading.
• If you join a local reading club, you can use the seminar room free of charge.
• There is a nursing room for babies and mothers.
• There are footstools for shorter children so they can reach books placed on higher shelves.
• At the library entrance, you will find a book sterilizer and lockers.
• In the children's reading room, monitors are installed so kids can enjoy learning Korean, English, and math through games.
• The children's reading room also has beanbag seating and a slide for comfortable and fun reading.
• There is a water purifier, but you need to bring your own tumbler.

• It is connected to Waryong Public Parking Lot, making visits by car convenient.
• It is close to Hyehwa Station on Subway Line 4, and it is also easy to reach by local and regular buses.

How to use the library

• Any Seoul resident can use the library after signing up for membership.
• With a library card, you can borrow up to 5 books per visit for 15 days, with 1 renewal allowed.
• You can freely read inside the library or join a variety of reading and cultural programs.
