Geumsidang in Miryang is a Joseon-era villa located at 24-183 Hwalseong-ro, Miryang-si, Gyeongsangnam-do, where old nature, history, and beautiful scenery come together. Geumsidang was built by Yi Gwangjin, a 16th-century scholar and civil official, after he retired from public office and returned to his hometown. It was also a place where he taught younger students. The name "Geumsidang" means "now is right," a special name that reflects both Yi Gwangjin's pen name and his philosophy of life.
This place was destroyed during the Imjin War, but later restored by his descendants and local figures. Today, it remains a historic site rich with the passage of time as Gyeongsangnam-do Cultural Heritage Material No. 228.
