What kind of place is Highkiln?

• Highkiln is a spacious and cozy pottery studio located at B1, 213 Yeonhui-ro, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul.
• As its name suggests, meaning "Hello! Kiln," this is a place where you can experience the joy of making pottery by touching clay with your own hands and shaping it yourself.
• Run by ceramic artist couple Noh Giho and Lim Sea, the space and programs are designed so that beginners and children can comfortably discover the charm of clay.

What can you experience here?

• A variety of one-day pottery classes are available, so you and your child can enjoy making pottery in an easy and fun way.
• Representative experience programs include the following.
  1. Hand-building class: Shape clay by hand to create your own pieces such as cups and bowls.
  2. Wheel experience: Try making pottery yourself on a pottery wheel like a ceramic artist.
  3. Colored clay experience: Enjoy a special pottery-making session using colored clay.
  4. Various painting experiences such as cups and plates: Decorate finished pieces with drawings or stamps.

Why it is great for visiting with kids

• Separate kids pottery classes are also available, and children ages 5 and up can participate safely. Activities such as stamping and decorating with paint are included, helping kids naturally build creativity and sensitivity through clay play.
• The studio is wide and bright, so it feels pleasant and comfortable. Although it is called a basement space, once you step inside, the ventilation, lighting, and interior are well done, so it does not feel stuffy.
• There is a "Kids Package," so you can enjoy both hand-building and the pottery wheel without having to choose just one.
• The instructors explain everything kindly, so even children trying it for the first time can enjoy making their own pieces.

Visitor information and reservations

• Hours: Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00 to 18:00 (closed on Sundays and Mondays)
• There is plenty of free parking, so you can visit without worrying about parking.
• Experience fees:
  • Kids and adult package, wheel plus hand-building: 50,000 won
  • Hand-building, small: 50,000 won
  • Hand-building, large: 70,000 won
  • Wheel experience: 60,000 won
  • Colored clay: 70,000 won
  • Hand painting: 25,000 won
• Reservations must be made in advance, followed by schedule coordination. Detailed class information is available through the KakaoTalk channel or Naver Booking.
• The pottery you make will be completed after 4 weeks and can be received by delivery or picked up in person.
• There are also many popular restaurants near the studio, making it a nice area for a meal or a walk before or after your visit.
