• Sanseong Children's Library is located at 53, Sanseo-ro 62beon-gil, Jung-gu, Daejeon, and is a child-focused space operated by the Daejeon Student Education and Culture Center.
• Going a step beyond a traditional library, it has been remodeled at a child's eye level, making it a place where books and hands-on experiences come together through a variety of activities.
• This spacious 3-story library is thoughtfully designed with facilities where children of various ages, from infants and toddlers to elementary school students, can read, explore, and build creativity through direct experience.

Main facilities and experience spaces

1. Sanseong Book Garden (1st floor)

   • This book cafe-style reading area lets you freely browse children's books, large-print books, local materials, and periodicals. Simple foods without strong smells are allowed.
   • Parents can also sit and relax here, so the whole family can stay comfortably.

2. English Nuri (1st floor)

   • You will find English books and AR augmented reality level books for a range of levels, along with English reading programs such as an English reading level assessment service.
   • Near the entrance to English Nuri, your kids can also try "Sketch World," where they can draw pictures and display them on a screen.

3. Saessak Nuri (2nd floor)

   • This floor offers customized spaces for babies and young children, including children's books, AR story experiences, and an imagination space. At "Toddler Imagination Nuri," children 7 years and under can enjoy a variety of craft experiences and art play for free.
   • Kids can also enjoy a range of digital reading experiences, such as an AI robot that reads books aloud and AR activities using tablets.
   • The preschool reading room is beautifully arranged with a variety of spaces, books, and lovely lighting, helping children become more familiar with books.

4. Dream Nuri and Imagination Nuri (3rd floor)

   • The 3rd floor is for children age 8 and older only, and motion climbing is available after on-site registration at the information desk. Socks are required for climbing.
   • It offers a rich collection of materials including children's reading and career books, multicultural books, Braille-labeled books, and DVDs.
   • There are also experience facilities where children can grow both physically and emotionally, including crafts, a self-directed creation space, digital content, and motion climbing.

5. Other amenities

   • There is a nursing room, child-sized toilet, self-directed creation space, book return box, and elevator, making family visits more convenient.
   • The parking area is fairly spacious and free to use.

Hours and usage information

• Hours: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 09:00-18:00
• Closed: Every Tuesday and public holidays for government offices, except when a public holiday falls on a Sunday
• Parking: Parking lot for 30 or more vehicles
• Borrowing: Up to 10 books for 14 days per person, and 4 DVDs for 14 days per person
• Reservations and extensions: A 7-day extension is available once, and up to 3 books per person can be reserved online
• Returns: Self-service checkout and return machine and indoor book return box available

• A variety of reading and experience programs, such as picture book healing journeys, are regularly offered to help children become more familiar with books.
