About Badahyanggi Arboretum

• Badahyanggi Arboretum is a large-scale arboretum located at 399 Daebuhwanggeum-ro, Danwon-gu, Ansan-si, Gyeonggi-do, on Seongamdo in Daebudo.
• It officially opened in May 2019, and across its vast grounds the size of about 140 soccer fields, around 300,000 pyeong and 101 ha, more than 1,000 species and over 300,000 plants are growing.

Theme gardens that are great for walking with your kids

• There are 19 themed gardens, including Sea Wave Garden, Rock Garden, Rose Garden, Herb Garden, and Moss Garden, along with wide walking paths.
• In particular, if you go up to the Sangsang Jeonmang Dwae Observatory, you can take in both the arboretum and the expansive sea view at a glance, making it a perfect spot to create special memories with your kids.

  • Summer season March to October: 09:00 to 18:00 last entry 17:00
  • Winter season November to February: 09:00 to 17:00 last entry 16:00
  • Closed every Monday if Monday falls on a public holiday or holiday period, closed the next weekday, and also closed on January 1 and Lunar New Year
• Admission and parking
  • Both admission and parking are free. Parking is available for more than 170 vehicles in total, including large buses and passenger cars.
• Facilities
  • Nursing rooms, diaper changing stations, parking, a visitor center, and various rest areas are available.
  • Ride-on devices and pets are not allowed, except for strollers and wheelchairs.

Programs

• The forest interpretation program runs on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday at 10:30 and 14:00, and same-day sign-up is available at the visitor center.

Things to keep in mind

• The walking trails are well designed with flat ground and wooden deck paths, and there are many places to sit and rest along the way.
• Badahyanggi Arboretum has no roofed areas, so it can feel hot in summer.
• Food is limited to personal packed lunches only, and picnic mats may only be used in designated areas.
• Bicycles, kick scooters, pets, and camping equipment are restricted.
• You must take your trash with you, and the arboretum is a non-smoking and alcohol-free area.
