About Gyeongsangnam-do Arboretum

Gyeongsangnam-do Arboretum is a large provincial arboretum located in Ibanseong-myeon, Jinju, Gyeongsangnam-do. Since opening in 1993, it has collected and displayed about 3,100 species of native plants from the southern region of Korea as well as a wide variety of plants from Korea and abroad, establishing itself as a special place for ecological experiences in nature.

• Various themed gardens

  • In themed gardens such as the specialized arboretum, flowering tree garden, tropical plant garden, warm-temperate plant garden, ecological greenhouse, cactus garden, and folk plant garden, you will find different flowers and trees each season, making it a great place for observation-based learning with your kids.

• Wildlife observation area

  • You can observe about 50 species of animals, including otters and eagles, up close, making it a special experience for children who are interested in animals.

• Forest museum

  • The wide metasequoia road and beautiful autumn leaves create a spectacular view. There are also photo spots throughout the arboretum, making it a great place to take family pictures.

• Parking and facilities

  • A large free parking lot, stroller rental limited to 5, rest areas, restrooms, and a visitor center are available. Since the number of rental strollers is small, it is recommended to bring your own on weekends.
