A new life for the old Jinju Station

Located at 18, Jinjudaero 879beon-gil, Jinju-si, Gyeongsangnam-do, Ilho Square Jinju Station is a multi-purpose cultural exhibition space created by remodeling the old Jinju Station building. It preserves the history of Jinju Station, which was an important hub for regional development when the railway opened in 1923. Today, it has reopened as a place where the whole family can experience and learn about Jinju's railway history and a wide range of railway culture.

• Permanent and special exhibition halls

  • You will find exhibits on the history of Jinju and the Gyeongjeon Line railway, the development of the old Jinju Station, real station staff uniforms from the past, and a variety of railway-related photos and artifacts.
  • There are also many displays that are easy for children to enjoy and understand, including model trains and small trains running on rails.

• Experience zones

  • In the "My Jinju Station" area, kids can enjoy coloring with colored pencils and markers, and there is also a "Railway Aptitude Test" that you can try together like a game.
  • Young visitors can also try on a train driver's outfit, take photos, and listen to audio stories filled with real memories from Jinju residents.
  • You can also spend time learning about local culture while viewing a diorama that recreates old Jinju and videos showing the four seasons.
  • There are photo zones as well, including themes like the Little Prince and angel wings, where your family can take memorable pictures.

• Traces of history

  • The interior ceiling still preserves the architectural style of old station buildings, including the traditional roof truss structure, so it is fun to observe historic architecture with your child.
  • You can also look around railway-related facilities such as the vehicle maintenance shed, which is especially recommended for curious children.

• Hours: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM closed every Monday, January 1, Lunar New Year, and Chuseok. If Monday is a public holiday, it closes the following day instead
• Location: Conveniently accessible within about a 5-minute walk from Jinju Express Bus Terminal
