Where is Beonam Park?

Located at 16, Geumhak-ro 277beon-gil, Cheoin-gu, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do, Beonam Park is a family-friendly park set close to apartment complexes in the city. It is easy to reach, about 3 minutes on foot from Exit 1 of Gimnyangjang Station on the Yongin Light Rail, also known as the EverLine.

What makes this place special

• In summer, you can enjoy the view of an artificial waterfall set against Jeju-style columnar rock formations. The cascading water creates a refreshing atmosphere.
• With forest walking trails and a wide lawn, kids can run around freely, and the whole family can enjoy a walk while experiencing nature up close.
• Around the park, you will find rest areas, picnic tables, and large parasols, making it a great spot to bring snacks or a packed meal and enjoy a family picnic.

Play and hands-on spaces for kids

• One side of the park has a variety of play equipment for toddlers and children. At the playground, kids can have fun, and right next to it there is a forest experience area for young children, where they can also enjoy nature-based learning.
• The walking paths are well maintained and covered with firm mats, so it is comfortable to get around with a stroller or with young children. There is also a chance to feel nature directly by walking barefoot on the soil.

• The park offers exercise equipment, fitness facilities, naturally connected walking trails, pavilions and benches throughout the grounds, and picnic tables in front of the artificial waterfall, giving your family a mix of relaxation, play, and exercise.
• There is a restroom inside the park, and if you go up the stairs, you will find a walking trail.

Connection to the surrounding area and historical meaning

• Near Beonam Park, there are several other parks, including Neungmal Park and Yeokbuk Small Park, so you can enjoy the area as part of a green network walking course.
• The park takes its name from the pen name of Chae Je-gong, a renowned statesman of the late Joseon period. You can also see a memorial stone and historical remains here. Along with nature, it offers a chance for history learning as well.

Good to know before your visit

• There is no separate parking lot, but you can park in the open space at the park entrance. Because parking inside the park area is limited, using public transportation, especially the EverLine Gimnyangjang Station, is recommended.
• It is located between apartment buildings, so it is very easy to access, and everyone can use it free of charge.
