What is Kwon Jeong-saeng Children's Literature Museum?

Kwon Jeong-saeng Children's Literature Museum was created by remodeling a former school building in Iljik-myeon, Andong-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do. It is a place where you can vividly experience the world of works and life of author Kwon Jeong-saeng, a major figure in Korean children's literature. His best-known works, including Dog Poo, Mother Hen Kkaturi, and Mongsil Unni, are presented here, and the space blends warm, unadorned stories with wide areas and hands-on facilities where children can move around freely.

Main facilities and features

• Exhibition hall: Introduces the author's personal belongings, including manuscript paper, desk, and diary, along with picture books and the stories and content of many of his works in a variety of ways.
• Library: A quiet space where you can read with your child and take a break. There is a hinoki play area, and the full collection of Kwon Jeong-saeng's storybooks as well as a wide range of children's books are available.
• Outdoor area: Children can run and play freely in a relaxing space with swings, a playground, and a natural setting.
• Experience programs and classroom: Offers a variety of activities that nurture literary sensitivity, such as story reading, storytelling, and writing experiences for children.
