Banpo Bridge Moonlight Rainbow Fountain is one of Seoul's signature night view spots and a special fountain that is great to visit with your kids. Stretching a total of 1,140 m along both the upstream and downstream sides of Banpo Bridge, it is the world's longest bridge fountain, with 380 nozzles spraying water from the Han River about 20 m below, and it was also listed in the Guinness Book in 2008. During the day, you can enjoy more than 100 different wave patterns and shapes, and at night, 200 lights illuminate the streams of water to create a fantastic rainbow-colored fountain show set to music.

Operating and viewing information

• Operating period: Every year from April to October (the fountain does not operate from November to March)
• Show times:
  • Off-season April to June, September to October: 12:00, 19:30, 20:00, 20:30, 21:00
  • Peak season July to August: 12:00, 19:30, 20:00, 20:30, 21:00, 21:30
• Each fountain show runs for about 20 minutes.
• Operation may be suspended depending on weather conditions, Han River water quality, strong winds, and other factors, so please check before your visit.

• The fountain show is best viewed from below Banpo Bridge inside Banpo Hangang Park, near Jamsu Bridge.
• A walking trail, outdoor stage, Moonlight Square, sports facilities, and other amenities are nearby, so you can also enjoy playtime and relaxation.
• There are places to sit and watch, and if you bring a mat or some simple snacks, you can enjoy an even more relaxed time.
• The Banpo Hangang Park parking lot especially Parking Lots 1, 2, and 3 is nearby, and the fee is 1,000 won for the first 30 minutes, 200 won for each additional 10 minutes, with a daily maximum of 10,000 won. On weekends, it may be full, so public transportation subway Line 7 Express Bus Terminal Station Exits 8-1 and 8-2, or buses 740, 405, and 143 is recommended.
