Parenting Tips for Gorae Bada Travel Ship

  • During the Whale Watching trip, children can enjoy the special experience of seeing Ulsan bottlenose dolphins right in front of them.
  • Depending on conditions, there may be cases where you unfortunately do not see whales. In that case, you can receive either free admission to one of the following: Whale Museum, Jangsaengpo Old Village, or Ulsan Port or a 40 percent discount on admission to the Whale Ecology Experience Center.
  • There are both Whale Watching and Coastal Tour options, and each has different fares and operating hours.
  • Whale Watching runs every year from April to November from 14:00 to 17:00. However, from June to August, an additional boat operates from 10:00 to 13:00.
  • For those who mainly want to watch and enjoy the performances, the 1st floor is recommended. For those who want to quietly enjoy the ocean view, the 2nd floor is recommended. For those who want to feel the sea breeze and feed the seagulls, the 3rd floor is recommended.
  • There is a lying-down rest area on the 2nd floor, and pillows and blankets are provided. These pillows and blankets may only be used inside.
  • The performers are very fond of children and make the experience fun for them.
  • On the outdoor deck, the sea wind can be very strong. Blankets are sold, but it is recommended to bring one in advance.

It is a special experience space designed for kids and families to look for whales out on the sea and experience Ulsan's unique marine culture.

    1. Whale Watching Course
      For about 3 hours, the ship sails off the coast of Ulsan in search of actual minke whales, dolphins, and more. In the past, pods of thousands of dolphins have been spotted, so there is a good chance of seeing real whales or dolphins.
    2. Coastal Tour Course
      For about 1 hour 30 minutes, you can enjoy views of Ulsan Port and the coastline, and at night, beautiful city lights.
