What kind of place is Anseong Environmental Education Center?

• Located at 147-156 Bogaesan-ro, Bogae-myeon, Anseong-si, Gyeonggi-do, Anseong Environmental Education Center is an eco-friendly educational facility where you can explore nature and the environment in easy and engaging ways. It newly opened in fall 2023, so the building and interior are both clean and comfortable.
• Here, children can experience a variety of environmental topics such as climate change, carbon neutrality, and resource circulation at their level, helping them put small eco-friendly actions into everyday life.
• The center was built using waste heat from the Anseong-si resource recovery facility and solar power as energy sources, and it has earned Level 2 zero-energy building certification, making it an environmentally friendly space.
• The center has 2 above-ground floors and includes an education building, greenhouse building, and seedling building.

What can you experience here?

• A variety of learning spaces are available, including classrooms, an XR experience room, an upcycling experience room, and a special exhibition hall, so everyone from young children to teens and adults can enjoy learning about the environment. In the XR experience room, you can watch an immersive presentation about the birth of Earth.
• There are also spaces where you can relax close to nature, including a subtropical fruit tree greenhouse, a seedling building, an eco gallery, a library, and comfortable rest areas.
• In the climate change exhibition hall, kids can try an endangered animal puzzle activity, and there is also a color-coded recycling activity where they can sort vinyl, paper, cans and scrap metal, and plastics by hand.
• In the greenhouse building, you can choose environment-themed songs and create drawings to display on a screen. The book lounge is a space where you can read books or enjoy board games. On the second floor, the upcycling experience room offers an activity where you can draw and make your own magnetic.

• All programs give priority to Anseong-si residents, but visitors from other areas may also apply, so it is a good idea to ask in advance.
• Same-day visits and on-site registration are available, and you can usually enjoy the facilities freely without advance booking.
• Parking is available, making it convenient for family visits.
• Since it is mainly an indoor facility, it is comfortable to visit even on rainy or hot days.
