What is Chungmugong Yi Sun-sin Memorial Hall?

Chungmugong Yi Sun-sin Memorial Hall is a place that honors the great achievements and patriotic spirit of Admiral Yi Sun-sin, who defended Joseon during the Imjin War. Located within the grounds of Hyeonchungsa Shrine in Asan, it offers a chance to learn about Admiral Yi Sun-sin's life and the history of naval battles in a building that blends beautifully with the natural surroundings. Exhibition and experience spaces

• The exhibition hall has 1 above-ground floor and 1 basement level, with two main exhibition rooms.
  • Exhibition Room 1 (Naval Battle Hall): You can explore naval battles during the Imjin War and the victories of the Joseon navy through a variety of artifacts and historical materials.
  • Exhibition Room 2 (Chungmugong Hall): This room displays materials and artifacts related to Admiral Yi Sun-sin, including his life and the Nanjung Ilgi diary.
• On Basement Level 1, there is a rest area for visitors and a 4D theater experience room where kids can experience Admiral Yi Sun-sin's achievements in a more vivid way through video.
• The memorial hall also has a distinctive architectural design, shaped like an earth-walled exhibition building embraced between grass-covered hill-like structures.
