Located on Jisepohaean-ro in Irun-myeon, Geoje-si, Gyeongsangnam-do, the Geoje Shipbuilding and Maritime Cultural Center is a popular indoor destination where families can learn about the sea, ships, and the culture and history of fishing villages. It is made up of two main exhibition halls, the Fishing Village Folk Exhibition Hall and the Shipbuilding and Maritime Exhibition Hall, where you can experience a wide range of themes related to the sea, the shipbuilding industry, and life in fishing communities.

Fishing Village Folk Exhibition Hall - A closer look at the lives and traditions of coastal people

• 1st floor
  In the "Sea of Experience," you can observe marine life from the southern coast and explore the underwater world and issues of marine pollution through 3D simulations.
  In the "Sea of Revival," you'll find introductions to oyster farming in Geoje and Tongyeong, along with the history and future of the local fishing industry, helping children grow curious about the sea and food.
• 2nd floor
  In the "Sea of Tradition," exhibits introduce the marine history, notable figures, folk songs, and everyday life of the Geoje area from ancient times to today.
  In the "Sea of Life," you can see traditional fishing boats, fishing tools, and vivid displays of life in fishing villages.
  Kids can touch and explore parts of the exhibits themselves, making the visit even more engaging.

Shipbuilding and Maritime Exhibition Hall - A time journey through the past and future of ships

• 1st floor
  At the "Children's Shipyard," children can enjoy a variety of ship-related activities with their parents, including rowing, exchanging signals between ships, and simple simulator experiences.
  It is an especially popular space where curiosity about the sea and ships turns into play.
• 2nd floor
  In the "History of Ships Hall," children can easily and enjoyably learn through models and videos about ships from around the world that developed alongside human civilization, as well as Korean traditional wooden ships, turtle ships, and motor vessels.
  In the "Shipbuilding Technology Hall," you can see at a glance how ships are designed and built, the development of shipbuilding technology, and even models of future maritime cities.
• 3rd floor and above
  There are exhibits related to the future advanced maritime industry, and on the 5th floor observatory, you can enjoy the beautiful sea views of Hallyeohaesang with free telescopes.
