Anseong-si Geumbukjeongmaek Visitor Information Center is a nature and ecology experience space located at 142 Gahyeop 1-gil, Geumgwang-myeon, Anseong-si, Gyeonggi-do, right next to Geumgwang Lake. Geumbukjeongmaek is one of Korea's 13 major mountain ranges, and this visitor center is designed to help you learn about Anseong's representative ecological and cultural resources at a glance.
Here, kids and families can easily and enjoyably explore the meaning of Geumbukjeongmaek, its natural environment, endangered species, and the culture and history of Anseong. Nearby, you'll also find beautiful Geumgwang Lake and the Sky Observatory, making it a special place to enjoy a day where nature and culture come together.

What can you see here?

• Geumbukjeongmaek infographic exhibition
  There are displays and guide maps that show at a glance why Geumbukjeongmaek, which extends from the Baekdudaegan mountain range, is an important ridge line and how it continues through the Anseong area.

• Ecology exhibits at a kid-friendly level
  Various ecological materials, including endangered animals and natural monuments such as otters, leopard cats, martens, Suwon tree frogs, and Reeves's turtles, are introduced in a way children can easily understand.

• Culture and history experiences
  You'll also find exhibits about temples such as Chiljangsa and Cheongnyongsa, as well as stories about representative figures of Anseong such as Park Dujin and Baudeogi.

• Outdoor experiences
  As soon as you leave the center, you can take a walk along the Geumgwang Lake trail, also called the Park Dujin Literary Trail, or head to the Geumgwang Lake Sky Observatory and enjoy the refreshing scenery and nature.

1. Take your time exploring the exhibition hall together and looking through materials on Geumbukjeongmaek's nature, ecology, and various plants and animals.
2. Using the walking trail maps and information provided at the center, you can also try Geumbukjeongmaek exploration trails and circular courses that match your preferred difficulty level.
3. If you go up to the nearby Geumgwang Lake Sky Observatory, you can enjoy a wonderful view where the C-shaped lake and the mountain ridges of Geumbukjeongmaek come together.
4. Walk along the trail named the Park Dujin Literary Trail and enjoy both nature and poetry together.

Visitor information and facilities

• The visitor center is open from Tuesday to Sunday, 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM. (It is closed on Mondays.)
• The indoor restroom is connected to the outside, so it can be used even outside operating hours.
• A large parking lot is available, making it easy for families to visit.
• There is no admission fee or parking fee.
• On weekends and holidays, public transportation that stops by the visitor center and the Sky Observatory, including city buses and Ddok Bus, is also in operation.
