Parenting Tips for Gamsaui Jeongwon
- Created at Gwanghwamun Square to express gratitude to countries and veterans that participated in the Korean War, this is a newly established meaningful memorial space in the heart of the city.
- Above ground, 23 stone pillar sculptures measuring 6.25 m tall symbolize the 22 participating countries and the Republic of Korea, creating a solemn atmosphere.
- Some of the sculptures were made by using stone donated directly by participating countries, including the Netherlands and Greece, giving them even deeper meaning.
- Every day, from 8 PM to 11 PM, a lighting display sends pillars of light 100 m into the sky from the sculptures, making it a great destination for an evening walk.
- Underground, do not miss the well-designed media space called 'Freedom Hall', where you can view exhibitions related to participating countries.
- We highly recommend joining the guided program (docent), which is offered through advance reservation.
