Parenting Tips for Danjong History Museum
- The permanent indoor exhibition presents the ill-fated king's life and historical events in chronological order, making it a great place to gradually understand the flow of history with children.
- Although water and beverages are not allowed in the exhibition hall, you may bring a personal tumbler with a lid, so please keep this in mind.
- Outside the museum is a wide-open outdoor space connected to Jangneung, so on sunny days, be sure to bring a parasol or a wide-brimmed hat to protect your skin.
- As it is close to Cheongnyeongpo with a convenient route, another must-visit attraction in Yeongwol where Danjong actually lived in exile, we recommend visiting both as part of a day-trip history tour.
- The outdoor exhibition area, including the nearby walking trails, consists of mostly sandy ground, so dust may rise while walking. We recommend wearing comfortable sneakers.
- On weekends and public holidays, the parking lot fills up quickly due to large crowds. For a quieter, more relaxed visit, it is best to come during the early morning or late afternoon just before closing.
