Parenting Tips for Gotjawal Ecological Experience Center
- At the Birth of Volcanic Island Jeju exhibit, children can press buttons themselves and watch the island's formation through vivid moving models.
- Various real rock layers that make up Jeju are on display, making it a great place for children to learn about nature with all five senses by touching and observing them.
- Children can experience Sumgol, magical holes that help Gotjawal maintain consistent temperature and humidity throughout the year, through videos and models.
- By seeing a forest rooted in barren lava with not even a handful of soil, you can naturally teach children about nature's resilient vitality.
- Through the Gotjawal in Crisis exhibit, which explores the unique ecosystem where subtropical and temperate tree species coexist, children can learn the importance of nature conservation.
- After spending a rewarding time in the exhibition hall, step out to the first-floor outdoor garden to enjoy a full-fledged forest trail exploration connected to Gyorae Natural Recreation Forest.
- For families with young children, the 1.5 km ecological observation trail course, which is gently sloped and levelled, is highly recommended. It takes about 40 minutes.
- Make your walk more fun by searching for the volcanic rocks and climbing plants you just learned about in the exhibition hall, like a treasure hunt in the actual forest.
