Parenting Tips for Cheongju Metal Type Foundry Training Center
- Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 10:00 AM / 1:30 PM / 3:00 PM, you can watch an Important Intangible Cultural Heritage metal type casting demonstration in person. Each demonstration takes approximately 45 minutes.
- The official information lists phone reservation, but reservations can also be made through the KakaoTalk Channel, which allows for easier scheduling coordination.
- While watching the casting demonstration, photography is permitted, but video recording is not allowed to protect the precision techniques.
- The cost of traditional craft and making programs held inside the training center is generally affordable, ranging from 1,000 won to 11,000 won.
- Due to the facility's need for somewhat precise work and safety, making activities are available from elementary school age, so please check your child's age in advance.
- A small museum is located on the second floor of the training center building, making it a nice place to casually view the exhibited artifacts before or after the demonstration.
- In addition to the casting demonstration area, photography of activity types and other displays is restricted inside the exhibition hall, so please follow the instructions of on-site staff.
- For visitor convenience, a dedicated parking lot is available in the building, with 3 hours of parking provided free of charge.
